Safe relationships are essential to effective client care. It has been recognised that learning about the importance of professional boundaries is not only of benefit to the safety and wellbeing of service users and staff; it can also reduce the risk of client harm (CHRE, 2007).
Whether you are responsible for educating clergy, coaches, social workers, counsellors, teachers, driving instructors, nurses, doctors or any other group that will hold a position of trust with the public, professional boundaries will play a vital role in their working practice.
WITNESS is developing modules on professional boundaries that will make up part of existing training programmes or act as stand alone short courses.
