WITNESS TRAINING

If you want us to accompany you to a complaints hearing or mediation session we charge £30 per hour for the time spent travelling plus the cost of travel.  Time spent in person before, after or at the event is charged at £60 an hour.  We recommend meeting at a coffee shop near to the location about three quarters of an hour before a meeting begins.

Although there is some overlap Witness support is primarily there to help you with practical tasks. This does not mean that your support worker will not support you psychologically, it just means that the emphasis will not be on helping you to understand your feelings or deal with psychological trauma, it will be with getting you through a practical process.

 The standard charge for Witness support is £60 an hour.  Support is done in whatever way is most effective and convenient for you; it could be by phone, email or in person.  We charge for the actual time taken so, for example, if a client wanted our opinion on a letter from a regulator we would simply record the time taken to read it, to consult any necessary documents and to email our response.  For a simple letter this may only take a few minutes.   Therefore if you are on a tight budget it is possible to keep costs down by only contacting us about things that you really need our experience and expertise on.  Alternatively we can offer a more comprehensive level of support including: structuring and writing complaints, letters to regulators and attending mediations and professional conduct hearings.  Our aim is to work in whatever way will be most empowering for you.

Witness support is delivered by our experienced associates. They all have experience of professional conduct hearings and will be able to advise you on all aspects of these processes. They can offer you advice and can help you make decisions, and they will respect your wishes and perspective.
