This course is for anyone who wants to spend time developing new approaches to establishing and maintaining their own professional boundaries. It takes the principles outlined in our 'Introduction' course and provides space to apply them to practice.

The course is most suited to people who have completed the one day course 'Introduction to Professional Boundaries'. It can also be used by graduates of the three day course 'Maintaining Proper Boundaries' as a refresher or update session.
This is a highly interactive workshop session which provides a space for developing the skills and language needed to feel confident in managing boundaries. This could include areas such as: handling personal questions; use of self-disclosure; use of social media; issues with particular groups of service users; managing/avoiding dual relationships; uses of language; saying no (to colleagues or people using services); managing personal space and needs; intrusions to personal space; intrusions to work space; issues with colleagues; problematic ways of interacting.
Session includes: skills development; open discussion; paired work, coaching conversations and identifying actions to embed learning.
The cost is £190 (or £120 for people on low income) and is for anyone who has already completed the introductory or three day course.
